[FOR TRADE] I'm thinking of possibly trading my 65 Dodge dart GT blown 440 for a A body or b-body four-speed.

I'm tossing around the idea of trading my blown big block 65 Dodge dart GT for a a-body or b-body for speed car whatcha you got? The 65 is a GT. It has a 70 blown 440. It has a 2,800 stall speed, slightly built 727 automatic 8 and 3/4 rear end with 3.23 gears now. But I have a 410 third member with a spool that goes with it. It has been converted to EDIS ignition with a crank trigger. Custom headers full exhaust which have been ceramic coated inside and out. It also has less than a hundred miles on a a fully rebuilt front end upper and lower control arms bushings. all bushings in font end are new. It has big block torsion bars. also has ss springs.

What kind of HP does the engine make? Brakes? Title? SBP or big? Streetable? Ive got a 68 RR 440 aluminum head dual quad stick car. 410s 73 A body discs 11 inch rear drums. Everything works. Needs paint. Just to show you I'm not a tire kicker.

I don't know what kind of horsepower it makes because the engine hasn't seen any boost with the blower because of the 30 over pistons makes it high compression and I didn't want to blow it up. So after adding the EDIS ignition system with the mega jolt controller, I have control some over the ignition but you have to use the computer to set it up. I was running dual point. Mallory ignition in the beginning. It has a small bolt pattern in the front large bolt pattern in the back clear title and my name. It has a new Holley fuel pump 3/8 sending unit with a 3/8 return line. I'm just checking to see what's out there at the moment

Ok Thanks.

i guess i should clear up something i said in post #3 i haven't made any boost because i have no boost controller. I was told by a guy that i need a controller because of the high compression so it would detonate.. it runs and sound amazing drives great. It's definitely one off. There's not another one like it and everything's been done as it should. Feel free to ask any questions, pictures or videos.

Front disc brakes? Nut retained rear axles? Manual steering? Any quarter mile times? Iron 906 heads? Hardened valve seats? Cam? Compression?

906 heads a 10 and a half to one compression. Not sure on the cam. I put new main bearings and rod bearings in at about a year ago and hasn't probably ran 500 mi

So, pardon my skeptical New England tude, but does that mean drum brakes, manual steering and non hardened seats? Not that there's anything wrong with a supercharged 440 car!

So why the potential swap? I realize you're not committed but why a swap now? I'd get your boost/ignition controller and enjoy the car for a bit. I've had my 68 for about 27 years and have started to entertain the thought of selling it. Don't have room for a 3rd car.

Well I've been working on cars for a lot of years. That one there was a particularly intricate and putting that big block in place. I know other guys have done it over the years but I wanted to do it without cutting anything up. I wanted to retain the factory shock towers and everything like that and to make everything work and I did and I'm just entertaining a thought. It would be nice to have something that I could just clean on and go out and drive and enjoy which that is a head turner and it does do it but I'm always doing something to it to make it a little bit better. A little bit different I don't know. Just thinking a different way. No real reason. How's that? lol no but it was a job to put that in there. Believe they're not. Everything was made to fit. There was nothing you could really go by to make the job any easier.

I have a 66 Valiant with a 528. Tell me about it! But my car was already cut up . Needless to say custom made headers and a 67 up modified motor plate. Honestly I'd have done a 67 up car or kept my 66 a small block!

I know what you mean but I didn't use a motor plate. I use motor mounts and built build up from there. I have another motor in a shop that I'm waiting for him to get done. It's a stroker motor, probably 528 that I'm thinking about dropping in. It's got the right heads, stainless steel valve seats, etc. The right can for the blower and I'll be able to actually enjoy it if I want to put it together.

Nice. I've been thinking about some 355s to drive my Roadrunner more. 410s in it for the last 20 years. 4.56s before that. 28 inch tires. Had some 30s but didn't do the rpms I wanted at the track. Probably needs 430s!

I've got a Dana 60. I've got to get a shortened. I was going to put in the car with some 354 gears cuz I'm running 28 tall tires as well but I like the looks of a Dana in an A body

I've got a Strange Super 60 in the Valiant. 430s. But it's got a spool. Race car only. No need to spend the extra money for a locker.

Thanks to everyone who ckd out this post, iam just thinking out loud....it's a great car body frame ect. A one of a kind...if I keep it it will get a new stroked bb and a Dana 60. As well as a new engine controller. The main thing that I wanted to do with this is to keep the front end all stock at heavy duty on the suspension. Nothing was cut up to install the big block and headers. I know it's been done before. It's been a long time since I've seen it.

You need a Rude Ron 8" blower spacer under that thing to show it off.
