It’s not like I need the extra work but curiosity may drive me to it. I have never flowed or checked the airspeed on an Edelbrock or Speedmaster head with a Ferrea exhaust valve. What do you think. Is anyone else interested. These heads gotta get finished by mid week hopefully but this may be worth the extra 10-15 minutes.

Always interested in learning something. If you have one on hand go for it.

Yes please. Never paid attention to those valves but all the high end stuff uses the it seems. Fill us in. What makes them so good?

I have been using Ferrea valves everytime I go bigger in valves I guess mostly for security but I’ve never had an issue with an Edelbrock exhaust valve and only once with an intake valve. I ordered four sets of valves this week. Lol

Other than possible better quality, do they flow better or have a better design?

I dislike mounting a head off and on again to test different types of valves but this may be the only time I get to test this. I’m kinda to cheap to pay 200.00 for the same size valve.

Don't blame you there. Just curious if they had a special back cut design or stem to tulip shape that has a advantage over any old standard valve.

We run ferrea valves in everything.
In our testing they are significant improvement
over anything on the market.

On our cars in our application any flatter valve is
better than a tulip valve.

Of course,
our valves are modified.
But that is all I will say about that.

Absolutely. Technical information is my favorite. If you have the time and resources I would be very happy to read about the results.
