I mean literally, or I wouldda put this in the coffee shop thread. lol

So, a while back, there was a Facebook discussion goin on about coffee. Folks were talkin about different makes and this and that but one thing stuck out to me. They were sayin they used 12 tablespoons of coffee in their coffeemakers. TWELVE. TABLESPOONS. I ain't sure mine would even HOLD 12. I asked a couple of times and they confirmed it like I was somehow coffee stupid. They said "yeah, one talespoon per cup". I use 4 tablespoons per 12 cup pot and it's really strong. If I used 12 it'd pour out like syrup and I'd go broke buyin coffee. What say yall?

A coffee measure "scoop" is 2 tablespoons. I use one scoop for 2 cups. The morning pot is 6 cups of water and 2 level scoops. I like my morning coffee full flavored but not so strong that it is bitter. I think a tablespoon per cup is pretty standard.

I couldn't imagine it being much stronger than what I drink it. Good lawd.

I'm with you rusty. 2 scoops for a full 12 cup pot in my Mr. Coffee.

I say: get your significant other to make the coffee, like I do. Heck she won't even LET me make coffee. All I have to do is add the Bailey's and whipped cream, kick back, and drink it.

And yeah, to me, most of the commercially sold coffee, (starfucks, etc) is too strong/awful.

It's funny you mention this. Kitty uses the same amount of coffee that I do, but somehow, without fail, when she makes me a cup (she doesn't drink it) it's always better than when I make it. LOL

I like a little cream in mine.

Folgers Classic Roast, made in a 12-cup pot. I use the commercial filters because I can't stand grounds in my coffee, and the scoop that lives in the coffee can is a 1/3 cup. I use a level scoop of that, and it's just right. I don't have a good enough memory (or money) to go to Starbucks and order a double zap, hubcap, mudflap mocha choka zippidy doodah!

Old Tony used to say you can't make coffee too strong! And if Tony didn't make it Charlie would call it
" 40 fathoms" coffee. You could see bottom at 40 fathoms. If it is ground coarse it will be weak
30 years of shift work and i'm in the "fresh ground too strong" camp and i'll gag if there is sugar in it!

Never touched the stuff. After watching the way people act without it, what they do to get it, and how they act once they got it, I said none for me.

Kirkland signature from Costco.

3 heaping tablespoons per pot......supposed 12 cup pot, but I'm not sure how little their cups are!

I got some Nutriant survival coffee and It will make you put your shirt over your head and ask for tp!

Death Wish brand, medium roast, but I’m not sure how much I use. I have a stovetop percolator and I fill the basket 3/4 of the way full for 8 cups.

The cardamon they add to Turkish coffee takes a bit of getting used to…

@ir3333 : what’s up with the red X? Might time to block people such as you.
