Sorry to hear about the bad luck with the cracked cylinder.
Shouldn't motor homes have 440's? :poke:
Here's one down in Sonoma. It looks pretty on the outside, and comes in a beautiful Ford Blue!

HA! My dad just said the same thing about the 440 this evening. I'm more of an inline six guy. Especially in this ride.

And I'm already in touch with the owner of this engine. I'm just waiting for visitation rights and a method of loading it into my truck. I'm going to have to exercise my trust muscles on this engine a bit... it's already 0.060 over and the guy that rebuilt it passed away many years ago.

Maybe try getting a hold of Doug Dutra over on the slantsix.org board. I believe he's in the bay area and is one of the best slant six guys in the world. Might have something for you and there will be no worries about trust.

I'm really new to these slants and I've only just learned about Doug. I'm currently reading his Slant Six book, actually. I don't know how he'd feel about getting pestered by a slant 6 "Jonser". I just posted my situation over on the Slant6.org forum, perhaps something will manifest. Thanks for the suggestion.

Could buy a whole car with a rebuilt motor for the cost of the motor you’re looking at.. at least you could try to hear this one run. Not my listing, so just going off the info presented.

[FOR SALE] - 1964 Dodge Dart GT
I absolutely hear what you're saying, and I realize this. Currently I don't have room for another vehicle. The van has kicked my wife's daily out of the garage as it is. I am trying to entertain all possibilities but also treading lightly.

I do dig those 63-64 Darts. It would be a shame to pluck its heart out. If I bought that thing it would just become another one of my projects.

Thanks for the suggestion!
