Stop in for a cup of coffee

Oh yeah it is. If I remember right about 2 miles further west there is a swamp that we used to see Flamingos in  In the typical highway engineer way, it's built in the lowest spot around and typically next to the drainage for the surrounding highlands
We get frost heaves around here in the spring.

There are gonna be a whole buncha of municipalities in Ca that are going to regret not taking better care of their roadways come spring. All those cracks in the asphalt are now 2-3" wide gaps and soon to be 2' wide craters.
Can’t help but laugh

Wind is frigid.

Must by snowbird migration season. Lots of Ontario tags on the interstate.

Stopped at Braddock's monument and grave site to stretch the legs

Those guys that engineered our Interstate system so long ago had the right idea. Everywhere possible pave it in concrete and you won't have to screw with it for 20-30 years. Asphalt has a 7-10 year life expectancy. That's if you use the variety of AC friendly to the areas weather patterns. Areas like Fred's are tough to engineer with the radical seasonal changes. Got to keep that water from penetrating that AC filling those designed air gaps between the aggregates. Loses all flexibility and cracks and falls apart,

Morning fellers. anyone here from Craig, had to be rough on him. 22 deg here but mid 50s today and the rest of the week.
Agree, think his team is still alive tho. The Zags are going to have their hands full with TCU this evening, Zags transistion defense might get clobbered.

Here's a pic of last nights show. Chris Eger played with them, we thought he was in AZ with his band but he made it back in time to join Midlife Crisis. Buddy got cut off by the bartender, I did the wingman thing and we left after the first set so coulda been better.

Back fom visiting mom.she had a fall the other day and fractured a bone in her hand. Looks awful.
Driving in, someone blew through a stop sign at the highway. Some reason i decided to slow down before it was too late. Glad i did. Would not have been a good outcome. Had it been a dumber driver in my place, it certainly would have been ugly.

Asphalt here breaks down in about 3…

Just unloaded the Transmission . Hopefully the last time it's on the road as cargo. It has more miles on it in the bed of the truck than operating in the car. 11 hour day door to door. I'm done for today. Should get it installed this week but unfortunately next weekend looks like a wash out.

We're home, unpacked, and watching basketball. We came back a day early the Florida weather was rainy and cold so no pool or ocean time. We were scheduled to check out this morning, so instead we left late Saturday and got a head start home. Always great to be home.

Sorry that happened.

That’s how our Tennessee 2019 camping trip in July went. Hard downpours ripped our tent and we called it quits 3 days early
