Not sure how old the shocks are on the front end of my 67 Barracuda.
With some easy bobbing on pushing.....
What's a recommendation for firmer front shocks? Not coil-overs.

If you want firm get KYB. If you want a great do all shock and have the cash, get some Bilsteins. I did that swap, front and back and the ride is light years better, I do have 1.03 torsion bars and Mancini XHD leaf springs. My car is a 1970 340 Dart.

RCD Bilsteins are great shocks. RideTech has some offerings that are very good as well, you can talk to @BergmanAutoCraft about either of those.

If you just want terrible, hard shocks that don’t do anything for handling, then yeah, KYB’s are terrible and stiff.

the bilsteins are really good pieces. they're a bunch of dough, but think of it like an investment. you could pay $100 for crap shocks twice and do that job twice after they blow out or just spend the good money once and be done with it.

they're also something that you can grow into. they'll perform just as well with stock t-bars as they will with larger, higher wheel rate bars if (when) you get there down the line.

if you want cheap, rock auto has sachs which are decent quality.

KYB's for me on 3 Darts.
That's all these old dinosaurs need.

Yeah sorry, KYB’s are straight garbage.

I ran KYB’s, replaced them with Bilsteins, and immediately improved both the ride and handling of my Challenger with no other changes made. Instantly made me regret every second I’d run KYB’s.

You wanna run KYB’s because you’re cheap and drive like a 90 year old? Awesome. But they’re absolutely garbage shocks, and these “old dinosaurs” deserve better.

I’m not running Bilsteins but I am using adjustable Konis with XHD rear springs and 1.03” torsion bars. Handling and ride is good. FWIW, this video of my lane change compliance test at over 70mph shows negligible body roll and good control too.

I just put some heavy duty Monroes on mine and it handles fine.

I’ve run Monroe’s, honestly they’re not terrible for a cheap shock absorber if you’re running factory-ish spring rates. If I had to pick between Monroe’s and KYB’s I’d run the Monroe’s.

I tried Bilsteins on my last dart build and have been very happy after 13,000 miles of road time. As I recall I got a nice FABO discount by asking for it when I bought them from PST. You have to call your order in and ask for it.

Rear- 31131
Front- 22023

These are the gas charged numbers. From what I've found though, nobody carries them anymore. I got mine new when I worked for O'Reilly. All I see now are on ebay. PM incoming.

That's odd, I can't find anything on that front PN. Just some random toyota truck one.

I guess you glossed over "nobody carries them anymore"
Haha. No, I saw it but usually that means "almost nobody carries them" and I can find something on a random corner of the internet. Just curious if it was specifically a mopar shock or if it was something you cross referenced from a parts catalog under a different application. I found the rears pretty easily.

I had no problem just now finding them at rock auto.

I found the MONROE 32022 which is the regular one. But the number you said was transposed maybe? I wasn't sure if that was a different line. Thanks!
Now that's entirely possible. If I did that, my apologies.....as I am dyslexic, and that's no joke.

The Monroe’s that are mentioned are the usual monro-matic blue shocks. I ordered a new rear pair (31131) for the Scamp last month. The chain parts store had them in stock; not sure what the fuss is about them no longer being available.
