Going to be ordering some Dynomax Ultra Flows. Would the round/straight muffler be louder than the oval? Would there be a difference in tone? I’ll just have turn downs turned 45 degrees. I have tail pipes but they fit like garbage and I’m through messing with them lol. Thanks all!

Tone? I don't know.
The round should be louder the the oval. There is simply less room for packing, so less sound absorbing.
Assuming you don't want LOUD, ,,my quiet power exhaust philosophy is simple:
Get the right sized thru tube for displacement/power level, then get the biggest, fattest, longest muffler that will fit under the car.

I had turn-downs on my stret-strip car (behind hooker aeros) and on a friend's advice I pointed the turndowns at about a 45 degree angle toward each other, to the center of the car. I liked the way they worked out. Sound blended nicely, didn't kick up near as much dust and dirt as pointed down.

Alot of the reviews I’ve read say the Ultra Flows are more on the quiet side. I do want a touch loud.

Currently running Pypes Street Pros, I like the tone and volume but too much drone. I tried the Black Widow Venom 250s and they were just too raspy.

If you want to keep the tone and sound level you've got, but get rid of the drone......
Research Helmholtz resonators for exhaust, on Google (or whichever server you use).
There are guys on the B side that have used them, love the results.

That is actually the next step I’m in the middle of and figured I would try some different mufflers before hacking these pipes up. Plus it’s fun to play around with different sounds.

Hooker Max Flo or Aero Chamber.
Warlock sounds good too.
All are free flowing and no drone.

With a slant 6, drone was my biggest worry. Since they sound like a heard of pissed off bumble bees when they're hot rodded all up, I knew drone could be an issue. But I have no drone at all with the Ultra Flow muffler. I'm glad too cause I'm too lazy to change it out.

Your slant sounds really good, if I didn't know I'd think it was a V8

I had a pair of the large round (6"?) Ultraflow's on my 79 F-150 with a 460. Was pretty quiet in the cab. Had the Ultraflow welded muffler on my 92 Mustang GT and it was quiet as well. But I had a pair of cats on both vehicles too.

I had a pair of big tube hooker aeros on my car. Once I got used to the sound, I really liked em. (chambered muffler, but it didn't sound like flowmasters).Couldn't have hurt performance too bad, went 6.30s/108 thru em.
No drone that I ever noticed.
