Stop in for a cup of coffee

Not much action in the Derelict's parking lot this morning  Could blame it on the low 40 sumthing temp I guess. Couple brave souls showed up in their Roadsters :D Heading for mid 70s. Half tempted to light up the little BBQ and burn some wieners :D

Mr Fred, you need an Uncle Sam outfit when you display and do events
Been out in the garage looking at the old truck and I think the canopy is just too bright and doesn't match the truck.
Might have to start over Pete.

Hemis don't match '29 Roadsters either, but that don't make it wrong

Thanks Alex, I'm trying to make the old truck presentable. I'm selling it with the trailer to haul it on this summer I'm hopping.
Well in that case, you could be on to something Fred. Hot Rods are a matter of personal taste. Those seats for the back are rather unusual and very likable in my taste, so a little different has already been displayed. :D

Got up and did some stuff finally.... pulled of a long spear trim on my fender and set it up with some weight on it to take a bow out.. i stored it bad and now it doesn't sit flush..

Also hammered out a bad sharp dent on a bodyline.. doesn't look great but is much better..

One thing i can't seem to fix is the decklid is about 1/4" higher on the right than left... stopped to do some research before i do something i can't take back..

Also loaded up my PST 20:1 box to put up for sale.. can't wait for messages on FB "How bout $10 and a bag of weed"

Can see how the decklid is crooked here... and the dent just left of the decklid i knocked out... trim piece is bad, going to try to fix it.. they are hard to find and expensive

They are as done as i can get them. Engine has to go back in to fit the flange. I think i had a good day. And now im done with the old engine/welding fixture. It can go on a pallet and into storage. I bolted the left manifold to head, went at it with my torch and got it glowing between flanges,to normalize it after welding pipe in. Shouldnt leak.

Been there with parts not fitting on old and new cars and you just have to bend the **** out of them to get them to fit.

yeah... Whats funny is i notice gaps on every car i look at, and my car doesn't have a single good gap on it :) I didn't know on non post cars the tops of the quarters/door pillar bend in over time from people slamming doors... wish i had known when i had the interior out, would have porta-powered them back in place..

I thought man.. they really didn't make **** fit at all back then :)

When I put Charlie the Swinger together for my teenage brat "I'm gonna put Hookers on this one. Never done them before." Read the destructions very thoroughly before I even took them out of the box. Well, Hooker left out 1 little thing, taking that fricking drag link off and feeding it through the hole in the pipes. :BangHead::lol:
5204's? The first time on-and-off was a nightmare. after that, bing-bang-boom! no time at all.
