Interesting there is almost 0 coverage of what's going on over there. We now have B2 and B52H over there. Where is our coverage of this?

It's almost like bad **** happening isn't reported anymore.... also no one is eating pets... no caravans... kinda stopped instantly.. almost like it was all made up bs... almost....

What i do is put ratchet straps across the torsion bars and under the trans to steady it, that's on the way back in.. it made life soo much easier last time...

I don't mind pulling a trans.. i HATE pulling the exhaust.. for some reason the 6 bolts on the headers just piss me off.
Use a shorter bolt

That's actually a really good idea. Now you got me thinking about my 7 1/4 and taking a leaf spring out of my scrap pile to make a blade
Yup, I had the same idea with the leaf. Pounded flat, sharpened, Balanced on a nail and Grinding the heavy end may take a bit but something to do while waiting on parts.
I haven't found a good heavy duty blade guard yet. I was thinking a 5 gal drum, double or triple walled, cut to size with a chute.

Maybe an old wash tub would work as a guard?

Sooo after a long conversation with Rock auto, we have discovered the problem with the brake shoes they sent for my 78 w200.

The package was marked with the part numbers for the 12x 2.5 inch brakes that the truck has and requires. However, Raybestos put Ford Dana 60 11 x 2.5 inch shoes according to the part numbers stamped on the shoes, in the wrong box.

Bad news, I’m well passed the return/exchange period with rock auto having ordered these over the winter. I’ve emailed the conversation with rock auto to raybestos and hoping they’ll make it right

Rock auto sucks. I have not ordered and received the right thing yet. The best was I ordered a timing belt for my Neon. They sent me the rubber cover thing that goes from the Radiator support to the front nose piece. No where's even close for the Neon. Brakes are never right. They just plain suck in my opinion and I refuse to use them

+1

I stopped using them.... started referring to it as WrongAuto.

I know some folks have had great luck with them.. and that's cool. Not me

My 86 Ramcharger turned into a money pit, $5,000 and the freeze plugs rusted out after a few months and the head cracked a week after I bought it as a running driving truck..
There was a reason it had mud all over it and the seller didn't clean it. I found stop leak in the rad.

Could be non-raybestos reboxed, lots of parts stores would switch lines and reboxing is common. And oopsies go right along with it.

Morning! (LOL)
Was a nice day, sunny all day and perfect temperature. Got all the boats out, washed 7 out of 8 that were assaulted by pigeons. Got dog to tge vet, have to treat her paw a couple times a day, and she gets the cone of shame when we are at work and at night… she gonna be pissed right off.
And now off to The city, found a 3-1/2 tecumseh for buddy’s mini-bike. Thats pretty much the same distance i travelled to the vet today.
