I thought so. Do they only go on one way or is it possible to put it on backwards? If someone has a pic of one installed, I'd appreciate it if you could post it.
I put a new one on my hood after I had the car painted a while back. I hadn't tried closing the hood until this past weekend and I can't get the hood to come all the way down to latch. It isn't hitting on anything so the only thing left I can think of is maybe I put the seal on backwards (if that is possible) and it is keeping the hood from closing all the way. I don't want to take it off if I happen to have it on the right way which is why I'd like to see a picture of one installed.
This hood seal is one of the most important parts of the cooling system. It keeps the hot engine bay air from being drawn back over the top of the radiator core support and being recirculated through the radiator.
I fought cooling issues for years. I put this seal BACK in place and resolved the issue.
I had them screwed all the way in to make sure they weren't the problem which they weren't and I had also removed the hood pop-up spring which didn't help. However, I have made some progress. I just took the hood to core support seal off and the hood went all the way down and it lines up nicely with the top of the fenders. So, I'm not sure what to do about the seal at this point.
