367 vs 410 Engines Masters

Have you said this to the others that started this, or just me? I won't say anything else but you should contact all that's involved. I was following this post and then the clowns have to join in. I'm silent

Naw.. just bored and having fun :) Relax.... We all know who you really are

Maybe i should start a thread asking about how bad i am planning to kill power and TQ making it really streetable. Since not everyone can cam, gear and conver stuff?
Wonder what is still left on the table after how bad I may kill power-TQ with smaller headers and exhaust, Just enough gear, and just enough stall. And a bad choice intake too. Maybe ported late 340 manifolds.
Wish some of you Dino guys were closer.
Be cool to start out better and take away stuff and see how much loss there is for each thing swapped.

That's fine and I understand. We need to close up, I just got jumped on about this and I don't want to get banned again for something that I didn't start. Please OP and others please carry on about the original topic
Dan this "has Dan bought a car yet" isn't going away especially if you never get one, Instead of getting defensive about it just own up to it and joke back.

As for this thread it' a dumpster fire anyways don't worry abut it too much, I don't care if there's a bunch of different convo's going on, talk away, joke and have fun.

BTW... my car has been down like a month now just to pull the timing cover to check the cam.. which was fine... wtf.... adding a massive trans cooler and waiting on lines and bulkhead fittings to show up...

Figured i would share since i don't have a build thread here :)

Also added a power steering cooler+magnetic filter, hid it under the battery box since i haw how it looked...

I wish my under hood was that clean mines all undercoating. I'm just started to rewiring under the hood and clean out some of the under coating, the wire is really butchered always giving me problems :(

honestly i'm very upset about how mine looks... the paint didn't lay down properly (another lesson learned) I was used to acrylic enamel and urethane is different.. it sprayed out nice then went dull on me :( My challenger i did 25 years ago, the engine bay was better than most cars outer paint. When i pull the motor for the 408 i might reshoot it...

This is how it should look

Not that it's great but...

Crappy 422 short block. The Eddie's for it I bought back in 2000ish? I know it was not past 2005. I know there are complaints about the newer castings. These are old and are fine. Machinist did port work, valve job, all new springs/hardwar to match cam.
I know some don't like Edlebrock heads. But had them forever.

Crappy? and 340 or 360 based?
340 plan is to get more streetable than the 340 X Block build.
I thought at 1st the head chamber pic above was my Comando heads. But was in fact the Eddie's for the 422ci
Here are the heads on my 318 X Block (340 race block) 4.040 bore stock steel crank, forged (heavy) pistons with to high a compression.
Stupidly built not streetable.
Thus the 422ci.
Only pics I have of the. Mopar Comando heads. They did not fair well with guys as cost was high. And performance was just OK.

Should be bad *** with those TF's.

man.. i am down to zero confidence in anything i touch now.. my 318 is a freak show that won't rev and wants 48* of timing and no one can figure why... my converter won't stall.... throwing another 6-7k at it will fix it! :) Prolly gonna change cams and lifters when i do the new motor

Ya heard pieces of what's going on, 48* of timing definitely don't make sense, revving also shouldn't be an issue. Sounds like it's in the timing somewhere.

yup.. that's why i took the front apart to check the cam timing... i will figure it out eventually.. have never had a motor give me this much trouble

small block is easier to work on in the engine bay.... answered :)
I disagree, everything can be reached from the top, distributor in front, oil filter within arm's reach in front and spark plugs are as easy as a small block.
