Mike, that's why I don't mind doing a little work in my shop here at home when I'm not working on my old cars. Most of the time it's a woman from Church (or a man) that I don't want to see been taken advantage of by taking the vehicle to a shop somewhere and getting ripped off

I don’t hate the success. I commend them for that.
I hate the slimely owner. That and all the cheating scandals they had during that period of success.

What model Honda? I've been a "Honda guy" for a long damn time, but some of the newer (later?) models have started to get a reputation for "eating" and warping rotors. Sadly my '21 Ridgeline is included, and yes- the front rotors are warped, at only 61k miles.

(sigh). **** just doesn't last these days.

Yup. That's right there in the "sweet spot".

I swear they're either making the rotors thinner (I haven't looked at the Specs), the pads harder (ditto), or they're just using crappier ("softer") metal (which is what I'm thinking). Regardless of which it is, warped front rotors at 40k miles, on a lightly used vehicle, is BS, plain and simple.
 
There's nothing wrong with recycled metals for things like rotors but if not done properly, that metal is really poor quality. I'm sure they don't use virgin cast iron for them. Especially the replacement parts.
