My old car and truck has been put away for a month, only thing I need to do is give my daily driver a bath and shoehorn it into the garage real soon.Been busy today. Wife and I went shopping and out for lunch then I went and cleaned up the 300. if the car gets dirty next week then I'll undercoat.
Now I have to clean up the Cuda
Have a great evening
If there’s no snow the A and the dart get put down for the winters map on Nov 11. If it snows earlier than that then that will be the day.My old car and truck has been put away for a month, only thing I need to do is give my daily driver a bath and shoehorn it into the garage real soon.
Going to be a few days of nice warm weather here and would enjoy another few drives with mine but with weddings for the grand kids and MIL about ready to die I just decided to put my toys to bed.If there’s no snow the A and the dart get put down for the winters map on Nov 11. I don't think any auto parts stores stock anything anymore.I've been driving my old cars to work for most of the last 3 weeks. My daily driver had a coolant leak from the intake manifold. I got it fixed yesterday since I had the day "off", but when I put it back together, I found one of the fuel injectors was cracked, so I had to order a new one, nobody here in town had in stock.
And if they stock it it's off-shore crap.I don't think any auto parts stores stock anything anymore.
The line here is no we don’t have that in stock but we can order it in for you. Well if I needed it tomorrow I would go to Winnipeg and get it. I’m not talking about some obscure part that only fits a 1992 fulgadorf it’s a mopar starter drive I’m asking for. So don’t really have much to do with the stores in town. Make a list and go to winterpeg. Even when you add the fuel usually cheaper and they have it.I don't think any auto parts stores stock anything anymore.
Same thing here, I went to a local speed shop a few years ago to buy a new carburetor for my 75 Dart Sport. I was told it would be something like $750.00 and would have to come from Calgary, which is about 2 hours drive. I went to a speed shop in Calgary that weekend and bought the same carburetor for just under $500.00. When I told the staff there about the local shop, they said that shop would have gotten it from their store! Saved over $250.00 just by taking the time to drive up to Calgary. Sure, it cost me half a day and probably $35-40 bucks for gas, but what a ripoff that local shop is! Every local store that I called on Thursday was able to order the part, sure, but the timeliness and prices varied considerably. I just went back to Rock Auto and will have it by the middle of next week, still for far less than any of the local shops. Sad really. The line here is no we don’t have that in stock but we can order it in for you. Well if I needed it tomorrow I would go to Winnipeg and get it. Depends on how much it's been bored, the year, and how complete it is. Also can you hear it run? I sold a 72 standard bore 340 block about 15 years ago for $500 Canadian $.Hey guys what would be the asking price for a serviceable 340 block?
I had an account with the NAPA store on Panet road for years before I moved here, they were very good to deal with, at least back then. I spent a lot of $$ there. The line here is no we don’t have that in stock but we can order it in for you. Well if I needed it tomorrow I would go to Winnipeg and get it. ???? What's the problem with the leg and arm Mark????????I've been toying with the idea of putting disc brakes on the front of the Cuda.
We have a place north of here called National Moparts and I've called them 3 times and the same woman answers the phone. I've told her what I want etc and she has taken my phone number and email address etc and still waiting for a call or email.
Guess they don't want my business. Even if they did get my business it's hard to drive with only one arm and one leg.
Been a very uneventful day. Haven't even been outside. It did rain at one point.
Hope it's better tomorrow.
Have a good one
