Unless your sending a stripped shell, I`d go with original color. Then, some people dont mind opening their door and having 2 different colors:scratch:

Its the only way to do it right in my opinion, how ever I do jams in cars all time that arent stripped shells.

the fresh red (fe5) will look very nice when finished. if the interior is black black tail stripe. if white white tail stripe. can't go wrong there.

Re-Sale Red ..... Original Color......Enough Said......

wow usually i would say stay away from the green. But that pic of that green dart, just looks GOOD.

The Mango will look good with black trim. However, there a couple of things that you might want to consider before using that color. I recently painted a '71 Challenger that color with Dupont Chromabase and it was a pita. :angry7: First off, Dupont doesn't have a formula so your local supplier can mix it, it comes in factory pack only. No big deal except they sell it in pints only and the cost per pint is quite high. Also, it doesn't cover good even when you use the correct shade of sealer. I've forgotten how much it took to do the jambs, engine compartment, and trunk, but it was 6-8 pints. It took another 8 to do the exterior!
I've heard PPG covers better than Dupont but I don't know if they can mix it for you either. I don't want to discourage you if this is the color you want but I thought I should let you know what my experiences were.
That said, I would probably paint it red if it was mine, but not the original shade. There's a mid-90s Chrysler red I really like but I don't remember the name of it right now. I painted a Duster I used to own that color and got more compliments on the paint on that car than I have on any other I've owned. One guy with a '59 Corvette liked it so much he said he was going to paint his car the same color.
I'd post pics of the Challenger and Duster but they are too big and I can never get them resized right.

Thanks Dallas, Were getting ready to switch to Spies Hecker paint after using Sikkens for 10 years. Our bank is in and paint should be in today. Maybe I'll mix a bit and see how it covers.

As for the mid 90s Dodge red. My 04 Ram is flame red. Real nice color and Chrysler has used it since the 902. My 98 Dakota was the same color ans so was my 69 Barracuda.

FE5.

F8 looks really good on certain cars - a '69 RR w/ Chrome Road Wheels for instance - but to me that's a shade better suited to Coronet Station Wagons (weren't they all either that color or white...???!!!)...JMHO - and we've all got one...:toothy10:

I voted for the '05 Go-Mango. Great lookin color and as others have said, you probably won't ever end up parked next to another one...

X2

Thats an awsome color that has depth, the flat colors dont do as much for the car compared to that mango imo, plus with the stuff your doing in black, oh baby!:thumblef:

I love green but I voted for the go mango because it will stand out and look Sharp!

Wow, why would you guys get rid of Sikkens? Sikkens is good stuff.

I love that green but if the car was originally red then I`d have to go with red. No matter what color you pick it`s going to be great. I can`t wait to see it!

Cost is killing us and we havent seen our rep in 8 months.

Spies Hecker is suppose to be great also. Top of the line Dupont, but thats another rep I dont care for. Out of all the reps that come to our shop hes the one I cant stand, LOL
