Drifting is Idiotic!!!!

-
My 1 ton maintenance truck at work has no front brakes, and we have long sweeping curves in our quarry. It is a hoot to jam them, then floor it sideways all the way through the curves on hard packed snow. Kinda feels more like a dirt tracker though, but it is fun:-D

SHENANIGANS!!!!

Drifting is NOT a sport, it's an everyday winter driving experience here...and I kinda like having it kick sideways for a spell.

all i have to say is this: whenever i see a CRX, i laugh. especially when i see one that has something performance oriented. i love putting the gas to the floor and going around corners with smoke billowing out of the fenderwells. something tells me i'm not alone here either.

OOOHHHHHH I wanna bash some crappy motorsports too!!!:cheers::cheers::cheers:

I'm ganna get in sooooo much **** for this one but I hate (and I'm not saying this because of what I saw when I lived in NC) I hate and have always hated NASCAR!!!!!! IT SUCKS ***!!! LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, LEFT. Real NASCAR/Stock car/whatever you want to call it died in 72!

I hate D-derbies for obvious reasons.

I hate drag racing in its current form, it sucks! Shitcan the non car related sponsors, shitcan the computers and kick John "I'm gods gift to everything" Forces *** off my planet!
BRING BACK REAL DRAG RACING!!!!!! F-crackelfest have them sign a waiver and let the bastards run!!!
Gee 360 Scamp we must have come from the same planet.Kevin.

im not a fan of drifting but people put alot of effort into it and i respect that, also i LOVE MOPAR but i have other interests, especially acura, and other brands that produce sport compacts, i have a 92 integra and i absolutely love it, and ive raced plenty of V8s with no problem keeping up (even with a 2003 harley davidson supercharged truck, and an 07 dodge ram)

i LOVE drifting got started in it bout 2 years ago in a *cough* 78 firebird *cough* but on the import thing i used to hate them bad but after building a couple for friends the new technology in these little cars is insane my old coworker is still driving the civic we built 340hp out of a 1.6L:snakeman:

god i wish we could put this kinda technology in our old big block and small block it would be scary

Drifting is VERY gay..the only time a car should get sideways is from being overpowered..and yes the general lee is gay too...

Good to know how you really feel there Scamp. Had to laugh for just a minute thinking you had fear of getting in trouble here. Thought you were like me and had very thick skin. Oh well, now let me get in sooo much trouble. I REALLY like those tuner babes they have parading around. Us Mopar guys could take a lesson from someone on this issue. Nascar? Granted those guys have got to have big cahonies at those speeds BUT this aint stock car racing. They need to have a class or circuit that mandates you have to use a STOCK car frame, body with all the motor you want. No penalties when you out run someone else. That kind of racing would sell cars as it use to. "Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday" is how it use to be. You can't go down and buy one of those cars at a dealer. Drag racing. Some of those guys have worked very hard at what they have accomplished. The day they broke the 300 MPH barrier. When will they break the 350 or the 400 MPH barrier. No one ever thought they would break the 300 barrier. These efforts are a demonstration of technology that the average Joe can benefit from and you can bet the car manufacturers are getting their R&D efforts from this also. Last but not least, my favorite racing is the street drags done by people like you and i that have a common job like us. They break stuff then they dig deep and pay for it out of their pockets. Oh, and i'll bet ya a tire dealer invented drifting. Wonder how long a tire last on one of those cars?

smallblock, i have to agree with pretty much everything you said there...especially the chicks part...if there is one thing i like about imports, its that they have all the chicks surrounding the cars at shows...we need more of that at mopar and muscle car shows=P~

drifting...not my thing , not at all , not even a little bit.

it's actually photos of a girlfriend of some guy on a bodybuilding forum.... he asked her to pose on his integra. i guess they deleted the thread though, i was going to link that. it was pretty priceless.

i think that drifting is one of the greatest motor sports out there. it takes a helluva lot of talent to drift...professionally that is.
