Need a radiator!!!
67 Dart GT 273 HP Manual Trans
Downflow style

I can barely even find any replacements and ones that may fit are $450+
I just got quoted $475 to Re-Core & Paint mine locally.
AHHHH Why is the damn 67 radiator like two times more expensive as other A-bodies?!?!?! This is THE last peice to my build. Not optional to fix, is way beyond repair short of a re-core..

I would love any help you guys may have.
Imma go burn one...

If the tanks are in decent condition, get it re-cored. Re-core especially if it's original to your car. JMO

Buy a nice aluminum direct fir radiator. I was just looking up one for my duster threw summit its only $300.

Did your shop flow test it? It should flow at least 20-22 gpm or more. Any good shop starts with that before quoting you $475+ for a recore job right off the bat. I had mine checked, it flowed 35gpm and a recore was $275...but it didnt need it. They even welded up a seam for me that was leaking a little free of charge and I didnt even ask them to do it.

I'd suggest shopping around for a good radiator shop and get it flowed first to see where your at.

$475 too much. Sounds like they don't do early rads and wanted to scare you off.

I dropped my orig. 66 rad off yesterday, the fan mulched it when the tranny mount went.$200 re-cored!Why,s your so expensive?

Got a 318 spec one. same size inlet/outlets but on the other side (Passenger now). Has ports for tranny cooling too, so I will probably get an oil cooler now to run off those... Cause I can.

Now the interesting thing is my inlet is on my driver's side of the water pump and must now go past the pulleys/fan/belts to get to its place. The top is easy cause it is about the same distance away, just on the other side. So I guess good luck finding a stupid hose that is gonna work!
Maybe I should get the other style water pump that exists on the passenger side. Anybody know what/when is the difference (340/360)? application that I would need to request and get that ordered?

I will post pics of the different radiators and the necessary hose situation...

Make a cardboard cutout of the type of hose you need then hit parts store, they usually have them hangin, just match one up closest to your cutout!

I just bought a new crossflow aluminum radiator from summit last week for 269.00 on sale. has mounting brackets on it already and fits right in my 67 Dart. Just watch where your lower hose comes out. My 360 water pump comes out on the left side so I used the one for the 383 dart. Looks sweet! Should have no problems keeping my ride cool this summer.

I just ordered a new one for a 70 340 Duster to fit my 66 Cuda 360. It was only 172.99 through Advance Auto.

Hose squeezes through between Crank Pulley & Fan Blades. So, I Made a Shield...:thumblef:

Now I am curious about Oil Cooling systems.. I know nothing except the obvious features about the title.
Colder Oil is Good-er?
What temps should be expected? Avoided?
Could this use Coolant from the Radiator?

So is the consensus on aluminum radiators that they are good deals?

I am looking to get a rad for my 72 fish.....was going to go with an autozone 22" replacement, but am now considering getting a 26" 2 core from these guys...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970...62QQcategoryZ33602QQihZ016QQitemZ260376024554

The price is about the same as the autozone unit.....and it comes with a lifetime warranty, though it would have to be SHIPPED to get that if something went wrong...

Also wondering if I will be able to use a shroud with it.....
