LOL, I agree, if he don't get it, then perhaps his boss might. Don't settle for no so fast, remain calm and try again. Good luck.

Wow! What a worthy cause! I wish I were in a position to help or even closer by to offer my labor.

Keep on plugging away at the manufacturers and don't give up. Things like this just have a way of working out.

Keep a list posted of parts needed. Hopefully something will come up that I can help with.

Scamp buildin' Joe, ramcharger Joe is right -- we need to get together and comprise a list of everything still needed.

Just like with the list of companies on board so far, I'm happy to prepare and keep current the "parts needed list" too so we can post it here. Call me whenever it's convenient ... I know you've got a LOT on your plate buddy. LOL

As far as the rude guy you spoke with, mama's rule is always true. If you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all. With every phone call we make, it's a 50/50 chance -- but they can't say "YES" if we don't ask in the first place. :-D

Well I am trucking along on the build and sweating some key needed parts..Motor being the biggest one! As of right now I have just thrown a Chevy block on the stand to get ready to build a strocker motor due to the fact I got the parts lieing around and wont cost me much. Damn chryslers are expensive to build and buy...lol...should done a little better home work on the orig. motor guy. feel like he but a rut in this build i will never get out of. So I am going to make due with what I got. I also wanted to take the time and thank everyone who has taken the time to call or post . It means alot to me to see there is people out there who care. I am so close to getting everything in order . Last night my wife got back to the website on the car and soon it will be ready for everone to view it. I must say it is a hell of a struggle but It is worth it. this build just might kill me but it is worth it. Anyway the grill is calling me and the beer is cold so I am going to have a good day. I will keep you all updated as much as possible and weds. I will know the colors and designs of the car . the kids are designing it! Later Joe

I just heard a FABO member dropped off a four speed?!?!?! Holy cow, who's the good guy? No doubt wearing a white hat but with a lil bit of grease under his nails. lol

Thanks to the unknown donator!!!

no idea who the guy is just said here . has a pistol grip shifter . all i know is he said it came out of a charger. will have to post pics see if anyone can tell me what it maybe. I have little knoledge of chrysler stuff , I am learning as I go ....lol

its 630 miles to his place, I just had a operation and cant drive yet or I'd meet him half way.

Guys, I'm working on the shipping thing but need a few more days before I can get a definitive answer. Supposed to follow up on the morning of June 2, and I'll post an update when I know something.

This is great though! Please keep the ideas coming.

By separate email, I filled Joe in on the sweet little jewel delivered to his place by one of our wonderful members here. In all its glory ...

Let this serve as an Anonymous Good Guy Alert until the generous one steps out and lets us know who he is.

If this doesn't work out how about a relay type thing. Members along the route could each haul the 440 part way. If I'm along the route I'd haul it 100mi. or so.

I am keeping an eye open on this thread to see if anything comes up with which I could help.

I saw on Fox News a couple of weeks ago that Shriners might have to close some of their hospitals due to cost of operation. Didn't they open the first hospital dedicated to treating children with burns many years ago?

If anything, could you set up some monetary donation method to which we might be able to donate specifically to your project?

P.S. The car might garner more raffle donations if it were streetable, especially with the value of MoPars these days.

http://www.shrinershq.org/files/shrine/PDF/SONA_Short_History_Booklet.pdf here is a brief history on the shriners . take the time and check it out. yes they are in danger of closing 6 hospitals. I am trying to keep this from happening ! I am just one man with a big heart. I am trying to do so much so right now it is a overload on me so I have little time to set up any kind of pay-pal account or anything like that. If anyone wants to donate money that is great .Contact me or Leanna (CudaChick1968) . Right now I am just telling people to send donations for the build to me address. On the drivabilty of the car I am gearing the car toward both street and track. Many of the Gassers of the early day were daily drivers and weekend warriors ! I am hoping this will be a big help toward selling the car. Also keeping it a automatic will help make it driver friendly I think. Anyway I want to thank you all to this point on the support and hope this all will come together with everyones help !

Per Joe (still figuring out how to post pictures) ...

"aint she cute ! She said daddy pick this one......lol enclosed is also some stuff I still have in the living room....lol...yes the wife is pissed I got stuff everywhere...lol"

She's adorable for sure (and a motorhead in training). Thankfully she's starting off right with a Mopar.

If you haven't already done so, please send a link to this thread to your Mopar-lovin friends. Even if you can't help out personally, spreading the word can only benefit the Shriners kids ... that one person who didn't know about it before may make all the difference.

I am in North Carolina and I am taking 3 weeks vacation starting the 1st of June if I had the cash for gas I would come pick up the motor and deliver it, but in these trying times I also am short on cash right now.
