Show your slant 6 a body!

Attached are pictures of my 1971 Slant 6 Duster. It is a very solid almost rust free California car that was orignally a Slant, Auto, Air, PS, deluxe interior car. When I bought it had a 318 half cobbled up and installed (big cam, 4 bbl, leaky headers with the stock 2.76 7 1/4" rear and 18" radiator).

Currently I am getting ready to reinstall a slant six with air, repaint the engine compartment and finish the interior. I have already swapped out the
grill for a sharktooth one.

It is going slow, but I now have the engine installed. With any luck in a few weeks it will be on the road if I have all of the parts:) (see my other post for "help with my '71 Duster)

Found this in the woods near Georgetown, TX. I am planning a full restore, add A/C and make it my daily driver. It is a four speed so I am hoping to get 30+ MPG.

My daily driver, a 1973 Scamp 6 banger. Bought her at Chryslers @ Carlisle 2 years ago. Pretty solid old girl. Have a replacement Legendary interior for her if i ever get around to it.

"Hey AP6ute"

Nice to see another from Down Under!
& I Gotta say what a Fantastic Ride you got there...8)

Love the Wheels & the Motor just the Way it all goes together!
Say what brand of wheels are they & what size?
& what brand or where can i score one of those Air Cleaners from as it really suits the "Offenhauser" (I Think) Rocker Cover & can you still get these??

Lot's 'O Fine slantys here. Really nice to see! 8) I myself prefer the survivors. This is my first A body, a '63 V200 w/28,000 miles - local find, 30 miles away, for $250 delivered.

She sat in a field for too long, so she'll need the typical underside work but I've seen worse.

I've had her for a little over a month and she's already in better shape than when she arrived. ;)
