I know this is FABO, and that's why I have a 68 valiant, but I also have a challenger which is almost finished. I have to go to technical inspection next week and then it's finally roadworthy after a nine year nut n' bolt restoration. Just wanted to share this moment of joy with you guys.

P.s. it still needs the hood black out, and then it's really finished:cheers:

Yep,

It's an original A93 deputy, still has original rebuild 318, originally an EB5 blue with black vinyl top and black interior, ps, pb, ac. I converted the auto on the floor to a four on the floor. Added the R/T hood, striping, ducktail spoiler and bodycolor 15" rims.

Nice as challenger!
Beautiful!

Although to give me the details on the a93 deputy thing,
i have NO idea what it means...
X cop car maybe?
I dunno.
Sorry for the dumb question!

The deputy was a mid year model package which consisted of fixed quarter windows. That makes it a coupe instead of a two door hardtop.

thanks for the comments,

I'll post some decent pics soon.

Cool car. 8) And very loaded car for a deputy. Some of them are very strangely optioned.

The A93 Deputy was supposed to be the super cheap model. That way you could advertise the "as low as" price. Like the car you could advertise in the paper for that "one at this price".

You didn't get a cigarette lighter, no day/nite mirror, no wood grain steering wheel (special black molded one), cheaper seat covers (similar to a base 71 Barracuda flat style), and the base motor was a 198 /6 instead of the 225.

You could get a 70 Barracuda and 71 Barracuda and Challenger Deputy's. Also the 71 Charger had a Deputy model with fixed rear windows. 71-74 Satellites have a base Rx21 model with solid rear windows too.

I have a 1970 Challenger Deputy sitting in the garage. Duing my younger stupid years, I took off the option tage for a "restoration, and it was lost. It came to me as a big block conversion, so it sits with a 440 / 727 right now.

Very nice! You should be proud of that one.Now get out there and enjoy the hell out of it!!

Thanks for sharing

I bought a B5 Blue 70 Challenger 340 auto with 4.10's and 15" rally wheels. Looked very much like yours. Black top and interior. sure liked that car.

Sold it to a guy i worked with and regreted it from day one. Bought a 72 Barracuda and he liked it but didn't want to give me the cash difference. 3 weeks after I sold it to him he let someone drive it, got it sideways and hit concrete median and rolled it. Then he came up with the cash i wanted for the cuda, 1st told him no but dad said you'll find another one so I sold it to him.

Love your car
