After searching and waiting for about 8 months I finally found the perfect car for me. :D Let's just say it pays to wait, and makes the prize even sweeter. I was able to pick this up for 5500 plus a ton of other goodies because the seller just wanted his garage back for other projects.

The List:

.488 Purple Cam
2500 stall converter (seller threw in 4300 also)
904 Tranny w/ TCI Outlaw Shifter
8.25 posi rear running 4.56 gears
and to get the power to the road it has weld racing wheels wrapped in Hoosiers

Thanks for having a look. :D

good to see more mopars people in las vegas....

very kool,., glad to se it go to some oen that will drive it,, looks like your new to this site WELCOME,, what are yout plans on this car >?

Welcome aboard mora. When you're finished with that gun I need to borrow it to do a robbery of my own. :) Great find at a great price. Contact Challenger Gary here on the board and get a set of side, hood, and tail panel stripes and decals and that will look just perfect.

(No charge for the sales pitch Gary. :) )

Welcome to FABO, mora. You're gonna have fun here!
So, are we gonna see you and your 'new' Duster at Mopars At The Strip next March?

Thanks for the warm welcome

fstfish: right now the car's about 90% complete it just needs all the gauges and such wired along with other small interior details. In the long run I'm looking to put disc brakes all the way around and of course a larger engine couldn't hurt ;)

ocdart: I just checked out the site for mopars at the strip and it looks like a blast. I'm definitely gonna try my best to make it. Hopefully by then I'll have the 4300 converter in.

Welcome to fabo and congrats on landing what looks like a really great deal on that Duster .

Very nice! Not to be overly obnoxious, but if you have time I'm curious on how he has that coil sitting upright. If you get a chance can you post a picture without the air cleaner and how he's got that coil sitting??

Once, again though. Very cool!

Here's a couple pics of how he mounted up the coil.
Sorry it's taken ages.

I could be mistaken,,,but i believe i read some where that the reason a coil is mounted horazontally is because there is fluid ( oil ) inside to keeo the coil windings cool,,,and that the terminals are to be in the higest position,,,when the coil is laying down[ this could be old technology,,/COLOR]

Awesome Duster. My Buddy had a 74 Gold Duster in high school we used to tool around on. He would love this one!
