66 Barracuda He states alot in the description thats incorrect. I emailed him to help him make corrections and he returned with " Dont waste my time and claims the car according to a dodge decoder was built in LA and he never claims it to be a Formula S" Interesting read of the description that he gives. Item # 170418724292

You would think for 12g they could spring for the matching white letter tire. He is right though he never mentions that this particular car is a formula S. But then again he doesn't come clean a say it's not.

ah, come on, He's just listing what "was available" and CLEARLY doesn't state that the car is a formula S  but also clearly does not state what exactly what options it has...sway bars?
Can't you see the attention to detail?? Crooked antenna and misaligned wiper arms are a dead give away   oh oh and the ALLOY Wheels ?!?!?!? oh oh, and the passenger front tire that is different ( and kinda looks like it has some strange wear, thus negating the "everything mechanically is in perfect working order" comment )

I'm not knocking the car, but the add is a little fishy... :)

Ebay is good 4 getting as much as possible 4 a car. People get bid happy and lose sight. There was a local dart convertible for sale here recently, very rusty but complete V8 stick shift car. I was told it was an original 273 4 spd drop top. When I got there it ran if u sprayed carb cleaner to keep it runnin. No radiator cap was fishy like it had no coolant. The car was really a 318 3 spd and he wanted $800. He got over 2k on ebay. Go figure, If u got the money to burn its no big deal.

Maybe he's changed the ad since you saw it. Now he's saying the previous owner restored it to be a Formula S clone.

I'm not fond of a body-colored wiper motor, but could live with it. On the other hand, the non-stock upholstery job looks really good! It looks like they followed the original patterns but with a tweed material. Nice job.

64 Valiant, 170 3-spd
82 Volvo wagon, 5.0 5-spd :)

His first response to me was kinda snotty so I posted it here. He then changed some things and replied agian after I told him he would get in trouble mis-representing a car and would have to refund the buyer. He still has quite a story there to read though.

You guys have good eyes.

Note to self. Do not paint wiper motor same colour as engine bay when we change colour of car.

Thanks
ian.

Isn't the wiper motor under the dash in '66?

Yes. That's the blower motor for the heater that is painted body color.

Funny how the ad says that the Barracuda was launched in 65 when it was actually launched in 64.
