there are a ton of magazines here. some date back to the 80's.

come get this stuff. i'm tired of tripping over magazines i will never look at again. the sooner the better.... they are gone by this weekend or they are getting trashed. :)

I wish I lived close to you as well that would be a lot of reading and a lot of great mags.

If you decide to ship some in lots let us know.

Oh and if you dont get rid of them take them to the library atleast someone would get some use.
 
man I would love to pick those up. they are so close to me but still just too far....
 
For goodness sake, DON'T throw them away. Like the others I'm too far away to pick them up. I collect car magazines that go back to my first Hot Rod magazine - January 1980. I keep all my magazines in comic book bags and they're either in my book case or stored in comic book boxes until I get a few more wall units for my "library". Yup.... I'm a nutcase. :toothy10:

I was going to post a wanted thread of the magazines I'm missing. I wish I could work out a deal to ship me a few every week. Sad to see them go. At least go to a local used store and see if they want them. The Salvation Army used stores here will take darn near anything.

Your not the only one as I do the same thing I have them from the time I was 16 on.
 
Like many other car nuts, I kept every car mag I ever got, beginning with the June or July 1974 Car Craft (blue cover/white 57 Chev/man reading mag/woman hanging laundry); then I went so far as to gather up every old mag I could find,some as old as the 1920's,including the very first volume 1,no 1 Popular Hot Rodding! Alas, (why does there always have to be an alas?)' about 3 years ago the building I was storing them in was destroyed. Of the literally 1000's of mags in there, I was only able to save about 200. After being unemployed for the last year and a half, I can't afford to get to you to get yours, but thanks for the offer. I hope they find a good home.

P.S.- One happy note - Vol1,No1 Pop Rod was among the saved, undamaged!8)
 
I Have Boxes Of Car Mags From The Mid 60s To Mid 70 And Some Motor Trend Into The 80s. They Are Not In Very Good Shape As I Have Read Then 100s Of Times But I Have Road Tests On A Lot Of Cars. I Also Have Boxes Of Motorcycle Mags. I Tried To Sell Them At The Saint Ignaus Mi Car Show But They Are Not Worth Much So I Will Keep Them And Read Them From Time To Time. I Have Noticed That Some Sell The Adds On Ebay. I Might Try That Some Time.
 
do this: go by the post office and get one of each of the larger flat rate boxes they carry. See how many will fit into each, weigh it, and if less that 70 pounds it will be the flat rate. Whichever most efficiently can send the most, box em, and put them for sale for the amount of postage. When sold, print a label and the post office will pick it up with a call. This way, they won't go to waste. I have stacks of old mags, they make great reading.
 
I know you said take one take all but is there any chance I could have just the Mopar Muscle issue with the silver '69 Charger 500 on the cover (in one of the pictures). I've been building my '69 Charger to look like that car (minus the 500 part) but I've had a hell of a time trying to find that issue.

ummmmm.. no. i don't want to be bothered with all that. i want them out of my basement. like i said they are outta here one way or another next weekend. either someone will pick them up or they will be at the curb. don't want to be a dick about it but thats why i'm giving them away for free. if i wanted to separate them and box them and crap like that i would, and then take them to carlisle and sell them by the bundle. don't want to be bothered with all that though.
 
Man I wish at times like this I was rich enough to have my own private jet. I would be there today to pick them up. Somebody pick them up please I would pay for the Mopar Muscle mags.:glasses2:
