I picked up a 69 Swinger 340 in October. It's my first project car in 12 years. The last one was a 71 Road Runner. This is my first A Body. When I got it home, I dove right in and found the complete broadcast sheet behind the rear seat back. Turns out to be an all original car with 75,000 miles. Been sitting for 22 years before I bought it. It came with the #'s matching 340 and 727 A/T. I've been tracking down the only mising items, AM Radio, Bumper jack, and unsilenced air cleaner. Had to settle for the chrome Mopar Performance unsilenced air cleaner. Has anyone had any luck stripping the chrome and painting the air cleaner with the black crinkle paint? If so how did you do it and how well did it come out? Thanks

Pics please :) Yes, I know, I haven't put mine up yet either...

I would think a light sandblast & epoxy primer should work on the chrome.

AM thumbwheel radios seem cheap on ebay....maybe $30 including shipping on some.

Those cars really scoot :burnout:

I tried to post some pictures, but it said that the file was too large? Any suggestions?

Welcome. Nice to start out with an original numbers matching car. As far as loading pics here, you may have to downsize them elsewhere and then post them. If you have a digital camera just set it to email size. Mike

I downloaded some free software called, " PIXresizer ". Seems to work reasonable well. You can probably find it using Google search.

Welcome to this site: this is a good site for A-bodiers.
