I use Castrol 10w40 in my 318 with a bottle of STP that has zinc in it in my73 valiant with a Purolator filter my dad used to use it in his satellite back in the70s , never had any problems. when I used 15w40 in my 318 duster I had to drain it out the lifters were going tapity tapity tap...

I better check the cables on both ends the noise was under the dash like gear to gear high pitch grinding

it was cold today I had the cluster out in the summer to change some bulbs but I made sure the cable was connected

I have a 73 Plymouth duster took it for a drive after 40 MPH make a screeching gear noise in the cluster, needle was bouncing.around like crazy , then after I stopped the car and drove it back home the noise stopped and the speedo needle went back to normal , can anybody tell me if this happened...
