Thanks, that is my concern how the effect the shock tower. I did speak with USCT about that, and he did not confirm that...., so Just looking for someone who installed them and has run them on the car. Most I could find is people installing them, but no daily drivers...
I've finished installing AMD inner fenders, and patched the floor brace from fender headers. I've read about the USCT Inner fender brace kit, and pulled the trigger on the credit card, But once I've received them, and tried a test fit, I got cold feet.
It appears to me, they put a lot of stress...
My 383 67 Barracuda shock towers are rusted at the base, but the frame rails are OK. Trying to source Good shock towers, and fab them in. Any input would be appreciated....I've read not to patch them for a number of reasons, and I want to protect the value of the car. I want to do a proper...
Dave I need shock towers for my 67 Barracuda, not sure if you can help with that? My frame rails are OK, but the bottom of the towers are rusted on the inside. I'm looking into if I can cut out the old ones, and weld used one in??
Thanks,
Looks like I better start hitting the swap meets, and craigslist looking for K frames. I found a Mopar B body big block k-frame, but assume it will not work for me ???
Mat, is the 68 and up Idler arm mount the same for small block and big block? I'd like to find one and add it to my 67. I assume you make a jig for position, before you remove the old one.
Can you help on that 67 Dash frame? I need a chipboard template to patch my dash, which was cut up years ago. I assume my best bet it to source a template of the radio dials and face, and make a metal patch to be able to mount a stock/new radio back into my dash.
Cut a patch out of another car, is what I'd like to do, also. Need a a parts car, I assume. At a minimum maybe I can get a template and make the metal patch myself.. - thanks Mitch
Hackers cut out the dashboard for the radio back in the day. Any parts car out there I can source the metal to patch my dash?? I'd like to install a retro looking radio installed when I'm done...
cudascott I'm restoring my 67, and noticed the wheels/dollies you have. What did you use? I've bought 6" steel casters, and was going the fab them to square tube and angle iron and bolt them to the car. I like your set up.
