Ordered some more parts today. Who is buying everything?

You think the prices and wait times are bad. Try doing anything from Canada with exchange and stupid import taxes and wait times.

lying under cars is gonna be a thing of the past

Built a rotisserie to do my restoration. Did absouletely everything I could before taking it out of the rotisserie. Still there is a ton to do under the car as you go along. Would love to be able to afford a two post but she's all done now and probably won't be doing another resto so we make out...

    The great oil filter debate

I don't think it matters what oil filter you use. Change your oil and filter often and your good to go. I'am not talking about a race car, but for going for sunday drives and the odd car show, what's the big deal? Just saying.

Oil filter housing leaking, can't get it to stop SB 273

I have seen three 1965-66 Formula S blocks that have never had a cork gasket on the inside of the housing on the bolt. The cork gasket was no where to be found in two complete gasket sets that I have bought. The only time I seen a cork gasket was when I did research to fix this problem. Upon...

Oil filter housing leaking, can't get it to stop SB 273

Success!!! Got another adaptor with the same part number on it. It had a different head on the bolt. It was a 3/4 bolt and the one I had on the other was I believe 1 3/16 bolt. Anyway changed the adaptor with a little gasket maker on the circuliar engine mount gasket, did up the bolt, snugged it...

Oil filter housing leaking, can't get it to stop SB 273

FB cuda you have some great thoughts but I have tryed both gaskets as well as doubling up with two wagon wheel gaskets, having better temporary leak stoppage with double wagon wheels. As far as the block and adaptor goes they are stock from a 1966 formula S numbers matching motor. I have...

Oil filter housing leaking, can't get it to stop SB 273

Both but just a little from the bolt, more from the circumference as far as I can tell, oil drips all over. Last time I put it together it was not leaking, went for a half hour drive, came back a little drip maybe a couple of drops. Next day started the car backed out of the garage and massive...

Oil filter housing leaking, can't get it to stop SB 273

Thanks for all the opinions. Yes the surfaces are all cleaned off even with brake cleens to make sure they are clean. I think I am at the maybe the housing is cracked point. I know I have not overtightned the bolt but with taking it off a total of 7 times I am just about ready to tighten the...
