I need some fuel sending unit experts please

You still have the old fuel sender? Test it to make sure the resistance changes as you move the float. Then get yourself a couple long pieces of wire. Connect the first wire to the wire at the sending unit location, and the old sending unit. Connect a second wire to the battery ground and...

1966 Factory V8 Valiant Signet Restoration For My Other Daughter

My uncle has been a mechanic for 40 years, so he was around when the under dash units were being installed. A tool to make the holes makes sense since he knew about someone using a drill to make the holes. Cost the shop a new transmission. My holes aren't that clean. Mine looks like they...

[WANTED] A/C parts for retrofit install; 63 Dart 225

I have both a factory unit and a Sears unit on 65s. First photo is the Sears compressor. Still has the factory radiator, no upgrade. Second is the factory. I can get better pictures is you need them. Both cars have the same radiator, so no difference there.

    Gas Tank Size?

When I replaced the one in my 65 Dart everything said 18 gallon tank. It runs out the filler neck if you put more than 16 gallons in it. I measured it several times, no way it holds 18 gallons.

    Fuel Tank Filler Neck Grommet

The filler neck on a 65 Dart can be removed without removing the tank. If you can't remove the filler neck in the Barracuda the answer would be no. If you can get the filler neck out, the answer is maybe.

Metric hardware in brake parts (rant)

It is very hard to find SAE parts. I'm lucky in one of the local NAPA stores has a counter man that understands. He's ordered a number of wheel cylinders and sent them back as being "incorrect" since they were metric. Since then I've learned that Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts and O'reilly...

    Driving Again

The AC works ok. Or at least it did. Been many years since it was on. It's a simple unit with a bracket to mount the compressor that can only be described as home made. I can tell you that it makes gas mileage go down about 3mpg but the vent temp was 34 degrees.

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

I was able to confirm the routing of the trunk weatherstripping is correct. It runs below the lip at the bottom. A convertible is on my list if I can find one I can afford. I also want a 2 door. Always looking for blue.

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

Yes. Mine are 4 doors. You can see the Medium Poly Blue at Driving Again Here is the picture you requested. I think my seal has slipped as I thought it covered the lip. I'll check again in the morning as it was to dark to check after I took the picture.
