i just had the same problem it turned out i had voltage feeding me msd but not enough amps for msd i ran switch on toggle and removed it from being feed from steering column ignition switch.I was getting an intermittent miss back fire funny thing was prior to pulling motor never had a problem with ignition.hope it helps.
