How many degrees should it be? Ballpark? My timing light tells 8 degrees advance at idle

Ok got it idling really well and primaries are ok at lower rpm. But my secondaries are not opening. Which is restricting my rpm's. Any tips?

Hi folks, About to set the timing on my 318. How many degrees +/- do they like to run at "peak performance and still start well?

Hi folks, My drivers side sit a lot lower than the passenger side. Can I turn the bolts that sit in the lower control arm and pivot on the torsion bar? My plan is to max lift both sides and then lower to make sure both sides are equal. Turning which way lowers or lifts?

Here's what I had......

Ended up using the 2 bbl throttle parts just one cut and weld a piece in to make it taller. So she's in and running. Got to tune it and give it a test run..... Been raining here all weekend :(

Got it going. It was really set back had to advance it a lot lol. Now just to fine tune the carb. Do 1850's perform well lean or rich?
