    Windshield Install/Remove/Clips/Details

David: My trim was original. With the new gasket is where I ran into problems. I would have the extra clips for " just in case" but that's just me! Not sure if there is any difference with mine being a 70 Duster and yours a 74. Good Luck! Rondog

    Graveyard Carz Coming Back

Yes, But it would actually be nice if they worked on the vehicles and showed the results instead of having to listen about their lifestyle and "know it all manorisms!"

Any fans of the Andy Griffith Show?

Yes, Yes, Yes! Great show, still watch it today! My wife and I attended the Mayberry Days in Mt Airy Last year. Barney's girlfriend Thelma Lou was there. Also took a ride in the Mayberry squad car. Spent the entire day there. Would recommend if ever given the chance to visit that charming little...

Mopar dies when key is released

Memike: If you can figure that out, I would like to know also! Now you can see why this was driving me nuts. Nothing seemed to make sense. I thought about retracing that circuit, but I was sooo glad I found it, I left well enough alone!

Mopar dies when key is released

OK Guys, Now have the answer. This has got to be the craziest, most unbelieveable, just plain dumb luck, one could ever find! Took me about 30 minutes tonight to find this. Checking all the 12v ignition wires again with my 12v light. Reading from the wiring diagram and checking each wire from...

Mopar dies when key is released

RatRod: I hear Ya! If you notice, my post started at 10:20 last night. I spent the previous 4 hours with a volt meter doing just what you described. I've been at work all day today, trying to get tips and ideas so when I get off work in 2 hours, I can spend more time with this thing. I never...

Mopar dies when key is released

RustyRat: Good call. This is where I was at yesterday. There is a dark Blue wire on the ignition switch that gets changed to Red in the connection on the steering column and harness and later gets connnected to the ballast resistor. That red wire gets its power from the pink wire at the Ballast...

Mopar dies when key is released

Thanks to those that replied. Just to sum up things, if you read my original post you'll see I replaced the Ballast, Ignition Switch, Starter Relay (Solenoid) and took the bulk head apart. Now here are the questions I need help with at this point. 1. How do you check a fusible link? 2...

Mopar dies when key is released

No Power on either side of ballast, or coil+, or at blue wire at alternator field with the key in the RUN position. All the wires are in good shape. Low mileage well taken care of. I pulled on every fusible link I could find to see if it would come apart. Nothing. I agree that it's probably a...

Mopar dies when key is released

No I haven't. Can't see how or why this would have changed. Engine runs as long as the key is in the start position.

Mopar dies when key is released

My 82 Dodge PU was idling in the garage. I heard a small pop/poof and engine died. Looked under the hood, no smoke, no smell, nothing. Go to start it and it starts right up, but as soon as release the key it dies. Right away I'm thinking Ballast Resistor ( 2-pin) I replace it with new. Same...
