Summit racing has high zinc oil called classic car oil. I use that stuff always. But cant say i have 20,000 miles on an engine with it. So i suppose i am not of much help. But the oil additive is out there!

Yes! I also love the Thrush Turbo, flows well and quiet at idle and cruise with full exhaust but sounds great when the throttle is down. No droning from what i can tell. No those are not needed per say. I've heard of people milling them out for more plenum volume. I've never used one on any engine of mine so I wouldn't know how they would perform before you milled it vs after.
