    65 Dart Speedo cable replacement

PS... And it didn't go all the way to 120+ and constant whine loudly, after lubing. That may have been my dad ****ing with me... from the other side. After all it is his car.

    65 Dart Speedo cable replacement

Saw in another post about speedo bounce... LUBE THE CABLE! So, with the speedo already disconnected behind the dash, got out the old Silicone Spray, and shot it a few times into the cable housing, letting a few seconds in between to let it soak in. Wish I had better angle. Hooked it back up and...

    65 Dart Speedo cable replacement

Ya, I'm 65. I have taken the original out once already, and the end on this one looks to be the same configuration. But I hate to spend $100 by the time shipping hits it, to find out it is too big or small.

    65 Dart Speedo cable replacement

Replace the o-ring and pinion seal on the original metal shielded old style speedo, putting it back in I noticed the cable metal sleeve had split into and the speedo worked erratic with noise at the speedometer. I shoved it up in the transmission, smoothed out but the noise persisted. Last night...

Modernizing 65 Dart Radiator Coolant Overflow

When I started bringing this old girl back from the grave, I had the radiator fixed. I don't think they rodded it out. I think he just fixed the leak. Well, once I got her road worth and pass inspection, It would puke coolant on the ground after driving. Then a few of the next times driving it...

    no more over heating !!!!!!!!!

Nice fab work, for the purpose. Do you have an overflow catch reservoir? I noticed with the old 65, there is no recovery tank. It would puke out the hose along the side of the radiator out on the ground. I found myself having to add coolant all the time or it would get hot. Ordered a 92 Dodge...

    65 Dart front U-Joint rebuild!

My boot patch. OK dad, call that what you always did... But it freak'n works and this ain't no show car. Just like dad, it will be my grocery getter for the cool factor, and park the bigass truck that is a beech to park.

    65 Dart front U-Joint rebuild!

Used an intertube, and made a patch like a tire patch, using rubber cement and small zip ties and it conforms to the congregated rubber. It is freak'n done and it will get me around to the store and back on sunny days. This Dart will not get driven too much.

    65 Dart front U-Joint rebuild!

Nope! I ended up ripping the boot down the side. Had it all the way in to the last rubber collar, after working at it for an hour. That last pull like the video showed and i pulled one wire all the way through. That may work on the bigger housing, but not the little Dart. Well, the boot is now...

DUDE!!!!! Bookmark that!!! You my friend are a life saver! I have not given it a go, but if he got it to work, I have to! If I get this to work, I owe you BIGTIME! Now to deal with 104 deg. Texas sun, in the driveway. My daughter stole the EZ-up. Think the wife will get mad if I do it in the...

    65 Dart front U-Joint rebuild!

Yikes! Not after I found everything to rebuild the original. That would be a good solution if this was my daily driver HotRod. Dad would kick me from his grave, if I did that and didn't go back with original design stuff, for his ride. I know someone has dealt with and conquered this impossible...
