They only made 457 1967 GTS 383 Dodge Darts and 229 4 speeds which is what I have. Also Mr. Norm is the why a 383 got into a 67 Dart. Dodge told him the engineers said it wouldn't fit and he had a mechanic put on in a 67 Dart, told Dodge and they wanted to see it so he drove it there to show them.

The sending unit came today from Classic Industries. Did a quick check on ohms from each stop on the float travel. Range is 7.2 to 68.5. The old one that came out on the last replacement is 77 to 10. According to a post here the OEM should be 10 to 63.5 . Don't know what the range is on...

Thanks for the input. Will require removing the headliner to access it. It's the original headliner so it will have to be replaced since it will not survive removal. I could remove it but probably need to hire some to install the replacement.
