    Installing a 4bbl on a 273 advice

I put an Edelbrock manifold and 600cfm 4 bbl for a 318 on my 1964 273. The intake manifold to head bolt holes on the early 273 are at a different angle than the later 273's, 318, 340 motors. I had the modify the manifold to bolt it to my early 273. I did some porting on the heads and added a...

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

I have spoken with them. They will refund if I ship the radiator back.

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

I thought about that, but then there would be no warranty, and I haven't driven the car enough with the new rad to evaluate its ability to cool the motor. I have sent the pictures to the company as anyone with a big block will have the same issue and thought the company might revise their design...

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

Just sent an email to Glenray asking about a rebuild. From the replies, it doesn't sound like people are having much luck with the fit of aftermarket radiators for big blocks.

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

It is originally a 383 car. The numbers matching 383 is stored and it currently has a 400 stroked to 451.

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

I don't think I could get the hose attached to the rad with a spring in it. With the rad mounted to the body and the motor with some movement on the rubber mounts, the hose would not probably last long. My original rad is 2949065. It may be a good idea to consider a recore. Any suggestions on...

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

The pictures on the Champion site show the lower rad hose for the BB Barracuda inset from the left also, but perhaps not as much. Has anyone tried the Wizard rad for a 69 BB Barracuda? I would consider their rad, but would like to hear how others may have found the fit. I think the rad I bought...

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

The hose is the stock replacement part which fit the original rad fine with no oil filter issues. I am not too happy about using the short filter. I can't draw any conclusion on cooling as I haven't driven far and days have been cool.

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

I purchased a Cold Case 22" Rad for a big block Barracuda MOP756A-5 which has the 1 1/2 upper rad hose off center to the left side and a lower 1 3/4 rad hose. The lower hose is inset 2 inches further from the left side when compared with the original mopar rad. Installation was fairly straight...

    Thumbwheel Radio

Thanks for the idea. I am not concerned so much with "numbers" originality, but will be sure it looks and works like originally installed.

    Thumbwheel Radio

I am not too concerned with being absolutely correct as, except for the missing Plymouth ID on the face, the radio looks fine in my dash. I do want it to be securely mounted at the back. A swap for the correct bottom cover would work for me. Thanks for the replies.

    Thumbwheel Radio

The rear mounting stud is the problem. Without rear support, there is a lot of stress on the two front mounting points. If I don't find the correct radio, I may try to reposition the rear stud or if I find a non working correct radio, see if I can transplant my parts into the correct box. Every...

    Thumbwheel Radio

The radio pictured was in a 69 Barracuda, but is not the correct radio. Others I see have Plymouth, Dodge or Chrysler on the frequency display. It works ok other than it won't completely power down. Volume goes to near zero but can still be faintly heard on a quiet bench test. Any ideas on what...
