5ft cable is fine

i have the hp150 on my 568hp smallblock w/150 shot of nitrous on top of that,works great but the regulator that comes with it needs to be upgraded,8an line all the way to carb,16 gallon cell,drive it several times a week,even drove 4 hours to mopar madness a few weeks ago,good choice imho

i ran mine @2 " in front of shifter and used the same insulator (velcro) as qkcuda, its tight but very doable (my first cable lasted 4 days without insulation,but has been on for 2 months now with no problem)also used metal ties as a stand-off from my tti headers 72 dart swinger 416 ci,super...

i always thought the lambo-door thing was for the import crowd,guess i'm old school but they dont do anything for me either
