Surprised you didn't drill and tap shock plate. Then cut shock stud so a little sticks out and weld stud in.:D Saw that shock plate in the lathe on fbbo. Came here to see what's up.

What did you break one it. Hate trying to fix home appliances. Wife replaced small brush on Roomba stripped nylon driveshaft screw hole. Tried a slightly larger screw, wouldn't hold.
