You are Living the Dream My friend. Got My 73 Done and have been taking it to the local Strip. No Time slips yet as their system keeps breaking down. Maybe this weekend. Happy to report 14.6 MPG with a 470 and 3.91s not to shabby.
I love the 470 in my 73 Duster. Got the Car when I lived in Oregon. Was a Woodburn car. Came as a roller from Portland. Nice work on yours got an ETA to finish?
The struggle is real and i feel your pain, I have 2 cars a 68 Roadrunner and a 73 Duster and both gauges were off by 50% or so. both have new tanks, senders and PC boards in the dash with solid state regulators. Both senders a Right stuff Detailing from Summit IIRC. What I did was to drop the...
Just for curiosity I looked on Ebay, Dang some people are smoking some good ****. For Me I would pay $500 for a good useable not worn out machine. I picked up the seat grinder with all arbors 2 dressing units a bunch of new stones and the drill head for $75. Are you trying to sell or buy?
Took the Duster to our local show, had about 150 cars. Got 1st place in the 1971 to 1980 modified class. There was a Dodge street wedge gussied up like a Maxie that was nicer by a mile than mine, and i even voted for.
Mine is a 68 -70 housing and the 66-67 are a wee bit narrower, Spring perches I cant remember off the top of my head but should be close for an A-body. If not just move them. All of this is in a sticky some where.
I guess it depends what your intended use will be. Like old school big and littles, Tucked in or out. Tire size etc. Demons and Dusters have a generous wheel well compared to a Dart. My 73 Duster has a B-body 8 3/4 with 275-60-15s and Knockoff Ansen slots for that Arlen Vanke 70s look. They...
In my 73 Duster 470 auto 391s, 68 Roadrunner went from a 323 SG to a 276 to keep up with normal traffic @ 90 mph. My 67 Chevelle wagon 373s with a TKO for the same reason. 73 VW Thing slug bug 50 hp barn burner= never mind.
