Here is my setup with a 440 with Victor heads, tti's with 2 inch primaries using a slant 6 k frame with spool conversion motor mounts. Everything fits like a glove without denting tubes.
9 second big block Duster. Caltracs moved onto frame rails. Leaf spring sliders with a spooled Dana 60. Launches straight every time on a 9 inch slick. Foot brake car. Adjustable front shocks and stock type shocks on the rear, no pinion snubber.
Just a simple engine hoist with a chain bolted to front frame rails to lift car. 500 inch big block with TTI headers 2 inch primaries. Victor heads with wedge size ports. 727 trans.
440 source heads come to mind. For what machining stock heads would cost you would be better off checking the 440 source website. I had a set on my 500 cubic inch race engine for years until I went to Victor heads. Just my 2 cents.

Manufacturers sell vehicles so....they want them to wear out quicker so you will buy a new one. I am in the auto repair industry and my experience when you change oil at 5,000 mile intervals all is well. But start doing 7,000 to 10,000 mile oil changes and the engine wears out alot quicker.
