It was almost a pint low. I added 12 ounces and so far so good. I will take out around town as soon as I can. My shifter worked as designed prior to the motor swap but you never know.
The first time I had just test drove it and when I restarted the car I had nothing. The 2nd time I started it up after 3 days and backed it out of the garage to let it run for a while. When I went to put it away it did it. Thanks. I will recheck the fluid absolutely correctly on level ground...
I should have included that, the transmission ran fine before the engine swap. It had new filter and fluid about a year ago.
The way that I look at it is the engine came out so the linkage was unhooked and the engine separated from the torque converter / trans. Could the torque converter itself...
Its a modified B&M shifter to appear like to be manual. Was working good prior to the swap. The tech went under the car and said it was going into each gear. The transmission stayed in the car when they made the swap. Thanks
I just got my car back from making an engine swap. They pulled the tired 360 and installed a completely rebuilt 340.
Since then you never know when the gears will work. Mechanically they seem fine. If you hold the brake and rev it a few times it lurches forward, and works fine for a while...
