Yes you could but, the shifter will not be in the factory place,(too far forward) and the driveshaft will be too short.
And don't bother using the small-diameter F-body M/S in a V-8 application, unless it's a stock lo-compression 318.
But you can convert the A to B/E status with the proper longer M/S and tail. This M/S is already the V-8 size.
