Yeah. Haha! If I recall correctly the strings were pretty taught when they were attached between the heads on those machines so unless they were doing alignments in gale force winds they wouldn’t be moving too much.
I’ll simply just add this for the benefit of the OP, as to not get dragged into the mess of much of what has been put out here so far. My advice would be to find a reliable A/F or dual band O2 sensor and gauge to install and do some research into the ACTUAL way O2 and A/F sensors REALLY work, to...
The latest machines don’t clamp onto the edge of the rims anymore but instead use hooks that hold onto the tire on the tread and then you attach them @ 9-3 then roll the car forward to do the compensation. Problem is if the wheels tuck into the wheel wells the clamp hooks will hit the body...
Important things to note here regarding alignments in general.
Always set CASTER 1st then
Camber 2nd and lastly Toe.
CASTER - CAMBER - TOE.
Because Caster affects Camber and Camber affects Toe. Adjust out of order and you can screw it up real fast.
If you’re going to do it yourself then...
Brian, As pretty much everyone has said before I’m saddened to see and hear this happened to you. I followed your build and was impressed with your work. I hope you find another to build your way again and that you can enjoy as much or more as this one. Having something stolen is a sickening...
My comment was regarding the amount of load caused by the fan. If it draws “30 HP” on one motor it’s going to draw 30 hp on another because of the amount of work it takes to turn the fan stays consistent.
Thexton makes a couple of different kits varying in price and the amount of sizes it covers. The more expensive kit comes with check valves in the plastic lines to prevent sucking air back in.
Amazon carries them.
Jim, have you tried YouTube to see if they have any videos that show how to reset it manually? Most manufacturers have a method to do a manual reset without the scan tool. They don’t always like to make it known but it’s there. I’m a professional tech and I look on there sometimes when I can’t...
Horsepower is horsepower no matter what motor it’s on. I don’t believe a fan is going to draw anywhere near 30 hp, but whatever it draws it would be the same on whatever engine you have it on.
