    Cowl cover?

Does any manufacturer make a cowl cover for our A bodies? Specifically a 76 Dart? Looking for something similar to this mustang, so to stop leaks and what not.

    Thermostat placement RV2 compressor

The probe goes into the evaporator? Through an opening somewhere? Or just push it in anywhere between the fins? I’m confused about the mesh screen and O ring included in the kit also. What do we do with that? Also what electricals are you unplugging and plugging into the thermostat unit...

    Thermostat placement RV2 compressor

I’ve tried contacting Original Air for tech support, but have been waiting for a call back or even email for over a couple weeks now. I’ll ask here and maybe someone can help. Long story short I had my RV2 overhauled and am converting to R134. I purchased the Original Air thermostat kit and am...

Never mind sorry for the post, figured it out. I had the belt routing incorrect. Installing an AC in the car and just putting the final parts of this together.

Drive belt change and timing marker in way

I’m trying to change the AC drive line belt on the slant six. I can’t figure out how to get the drive belt onto the crank pulley. The timing marker is in the way and I don’t want to bend it and break it. Do I have to remover the entire timing cover to gain access? What am I missing? Looks like...

    Should I Replace AC Condenser?

Hey all. I just had my RV2 rebuilt by classic auto air. I also purchased a new evaporator and drier and will be replacing all the lines. Also rebuilt the dash box/ blower assembly. Can I flush out the original 1976 AC Condenser of R12, or is it advisable to purchase a new one so I don’t...

    Accelerator pump check /checkball &weight

Thanks, I heated it with a propane torch and used air and it shot out. Will have to search for a new one, i cleaned it inside the carb and the weight itself and it gets stuck in there, like it’s expanded or something.

    Accelerator pump check /checkball &weight

Hi, I bought a spare Holley 1945 to take along on my upcoming winter road trip. Donor car was a 75 valiant. I’ve only done three carb rebuilds, never seen this before so not sure how to proceed. Would appreciate any help. Was about to test the accelerator pump without check ball and weight...

    Carb suddenly acting up.

I drive it nearly every day (about 30 miles) and this suddenly came up. Think I’ll be changing the fuel filter and pulling the carb to check for debris. Also float levels. Thanks.

    Carb suddenly acting up.

I started fouling plugs yesterday at red lights and have strong exhaust smell while stopped. Decided maybe just needed a quick tuneup so reset my timing and carb adjustments with vacuum gauge to dial it all in. Stock 76 slant six with Holley 1945. Come to find that turning the idle fuel...

    Fuel line Mod Questions- Confused

Thanks for the tip. I was unaware of this vapor return line and will check for it. Upon looking at factory manual it looks like the line routes to the charcoal canister. Easy as unplugging and routing a new fuel line there. Are you guys installing a one way check valve also along the return line?

    Fuel line Mod Questions- Confused

Hello all, I’m still new to this and learning as I go. I believe with the 90+ degree days and heat index at 105 the last couple days in Miami and foreseeable future , I am certainly experiencing vapor lock conditions. After searching these forums and YouTube, I’m still confused in terms of...

    Newbie carb 1945 rebuild questions

I just rewatched the Chrysler training video on the 1945. It is the “Power valve”. Comes up at 6minutes 40 seconds in the video. Looks a little like a jet but with a spring under it. My rebuild kit didn’t include a jet or power valve.
