I joined back when I had my 68 Formula S with a 416. I sold it (really wish I hadn't) a few years ago. I picked up a 71 Duster twister this spring so I plan to spend more time on here. Saving up for my build right now.
I ended up buying it. Yes it did look a little crusty but the bushings seem intact and the pedals rotate nice. All the switches are there and the brackets. I don't find stuff like this 1/2 hour from my home so I didn't want to pass it up.
Sorry the seller does state it is an A body pedal set but I don't have the experience to take his word for it. I only owned one other a body with a clutch pedal and it was never removed so I couldn't tell from looking at it.
I have a 1971 Duster Twister with 318, 904 and 7 1/4. I want to go stroker small block, manual trans and 8 3/4. I have acquired an 8 3/4 housing.
This car is to have fun not make pretty.
I have the opportunity to buy a manual pedal set locally. Can you help me identify it as A body? Is $250...
I don't know why it took so long to get back in a Duster but it finally happened last week.
I had the brown (originally orange) 1970 340 Duster in 1988 until I started college in 1991.
I then bought the red 1968 Formula S Barracuda and built a 416 stroker for it. I had it 2004 to 2015
Now I have...
I don't and no insulation under pad. Wicked cold January and my last gas bill was $50(barn is on separate bill). Spray foam insulation and about a 60K BTU home furnace. I always leave it 65 or so 24/7. That way the pad helps as a large thermal mass. I think turning it down then up when you want...
I have an intake manifold #2531915 (the 9 is backwards?) dated Aug 15 1967. Exhaust manifolds 2863553 August 18 67 and 2863549 August 07 1967. I also have a set of valve covers. These came with my 1968 Formula 340S built Sept 1967 I sold a while back. I would like to sell these together. I am...
East of Mt. Pleasant MI about 25 miles. It sold for $14750. I do think it was worth more being a California Formula S with all original rust free. I had receipts for about $10K in a no expense spared 416 build as well. I tried to sell it for 3 years or so without really enjoying it anymore so I...
I have been half assed trying to sell my Barracuda the last couple of years. I have had it 13 years and really enjoyed it when I had a passion of working on it. The last couple of years as my son gets a bit older and family stuff takes precedence it tends to not get used very much. Tomorrow I...
Definitely leaning towards buying it. A good price will help me justify any work I need to do. Just to disclose everything he is asking $3000 for an 84 D150 with nice body and interior. One solid color on American Racing 15" turbine style wheels. Everything works but the radio. I am thinking...
I have a decent LA 318 sitting on an engine stand right now. I just don't want another project. I really don't want to spend more than a Saturday afternoon on it.
I assume the EGR nipple would have caused a lean condition because of vacuum leak? I am sick. I want to buy this truck just to mess with it and see if I can fix it!
He said he had played with the timing and better gas in the past and it acted the same. Hard to diagnose with a 10 minute test drive and his recollection of what he tried.
