I have been running a rear conversion u-joint old smaller to a 7290. 7290 on the center section. Been nervous about it for a while. I just keep it greased well.. that's the big reason to change or update the drive shaft.

Here you can see how tall roller lifters are. You need to shorten the push rods & open the guide holes for the angle change going to the rockers.

Here is the porting I did. You can see how the push rod tubes interference. Opening them you have tobe very careful in the runners & in the tube. You can see them on the top of the whole head. The holes at the top close to the outside.
