I have always slid the tranny in under a jacked-up car, then dropped the engine in and hired elves to crawl under and bolt things up. Can I bolt up the tranny to the engine and install from the top? Car is a 69 Dart.
I am trying to recall if I have ever seen the factory steel wheels painted the body color on a-bodies, 69 Darts in particular. I have seen white wheels on a white car, and black on everything else, but can't recall seeing any other colors. I know they did it on E and B bodies.
I am going to redo the front end on my car and was figuring most stuff on the market is probably Chinese-made. As my son will be driving it often I am willing to pay more for quality stuff. Any suggestions?
I have a 69 Dart 2-door hardtop. On the front edge of each door window is some very thin white plastic, held in by a couple of clips. This stuff was very brittle and disintigrated when taking the windows out. Does anyone make this stuff, or has anyone found a substitute material that works?
My friend has this setup out of a 67 Barracuda and I am thinking of getting it but don't know what a fair price would be. He has: big block k-member. motor mounts, and original bare 383 block, standard bore. What do you think?
I have a 69 Dart Western Sport Special, but would like to make a GTS or Swinger 340 clone out of it, primarily because I think they look cooler. Which would you guys do? Also, does anyone reproduce the hood (I don't know what it's called- "power bulge"?) with the insert thingies in it?
I am acquiring a 69 Dart Western Sport Special. It is missing some of the trim on the sides of the car. Does anyone know if the trim is unique to that year Dart?
I have a 68 Barracuda fastback and am trying to replace the existing from-who-knows-where seat belts with the originals. For you guys with 68s that have the original belts, can you provide me with any tag numbers at all? That would be a great help. I just need to know what to begin looking for...
A friend of mine just found a sweet car. A 67 Dart GT convertible, 4-speed, hi-po 273, factory tach on the console, factory 8 3/4, factory glass rear window. Color is something like "ice blue", with blue interior. All original.
I have a 68 383 Formula S Barracuda. It has front drum brakes (and a front sway bar). I was under the impression that all Formula S cars came from the factory with front discs as standard equipment. But it looks like mine have never been tampered with. Then I heard of another Formula S, 68 that...
