    I run mid to low 11s on a 275 M/T drag radial. Hooks pretty well at 16 psi. They are a 28" tire with a 9.5 tread width and a 11" section width. We narrowed an 8 3/4" to center the wheel perfectly in the stock wheel well and moved the springs in. Also running Cal Tracs with mono leafs. Tight but...

    Jack up the rear end and spin one tire. If the other side spins the same direction it's a sure grip. If it turns the opposite direction it's an open rear end.     Thanks! 410 Stroker, built 904 w/ reverse valve body and a Winters shifter, Edelbrock RPM Performer Power Package (heads, intake, cam), 750 cfm Edelbrock carb, TTi headers, Caltrac suspension, 4.10s in a narrowed 8.75. Runs 11.40s at 118mph.

    Here's one of mine with SS springs back in 1999. You can adjust the stance somewhat by raising the front with the torsion bars. Tire choice will also make a difference.
