    Will do. I actually ordered them thinking it had that in there, and might need to adjust the clearance. . Got all but one, didnt order the smallest.

    So it got real hot. Another thing I found That clutch pack has a very flat wavy retainer clip, and not a flat selectable one. The trans date is July of 1970. Unless someone shaped it before me, that is not right for the year

    Did you see the picture of the Not Flat steel plate? I'm thinking you were right that it dropped the first clutch off . But I would expect the splines on the inside edge of the friction to show damage.

    This is a flat one. The next one up.

    Hers a problem. The bottom steel is not flat.

    Thanks, Jegs has just the 71 and up kits. The clutches and front band should be good I think. Gaskets should be the same. It doesn't come with the low reverse band, have to get that separately. Transparts warehouse has the metal thrust washer I need. Maybe I'll just order everything from them...

    Funny how the plates are worn. Smooth on the outside edge, and rough on the inside edge.

    Wouldn't the splines on the clutch disk be torn up if it slipped past?

    I did not check the end Play before I disassembled it. I should have. I was planning on getting the plated metal thrust washer to replace the broken one. The broken washer was still on the shaft. Not sure how it stayed there being half of it was missing.

    Yes, that's what cut the planetary.
