    1960 to 1962 Valiant/Lancer Tailgate Photos

Could someone provide photos of the tailgate release rod? Mine is broken on the end and the other side is twisted. Not sure how a non damaged one should look like. I will need to fabricate a new one or do some creative welding. Photos are of the original rod that I removed.

    Parting out 1962 Plymouth Valiant

Hey Rah Rah. They are not the same. I just got off the internet and looked at some photos. The Lancer is a single blade arrow head and the valiant is a dual blade. The valiant will look like a "V" rotated 90 degrees and slide in to the upper and lower moldings.

Not sure. I will swing by my shop and take a photo of the side molding and get some dimensions. I may need 2. The guy who had the car before me put all sorts of different stuff on it from different cars.

I was hoping to see a white with black vinyl top. Lo and behold there it is. I am moving in that direction. Blue and a black top is another choice, but I have that already on my 69 SS Camino It was previously white with black top, but at the time I had so may white cars and wanted to do...

With vinyl tops, I am finding the notch's lines are accentuated with vinyl. The yellow and black are complimentary. Too bad some of my buddies are not into vinyl. Yours looks great!

Anyone here done this to someone?

In high school there was one kid who was a real jerk. Drove a VW bug. In those days there were the old metal galvanized trashcans located around the parking lot. A bunch of us guys got together, flipped the trash can upside down and placed the car on top of the trashcan. He got the point and...

    Hood Caulking Question?

Thanks Sedanman and S340 for your quick response. I like that the Lord product specifically states "hood panel to supports" in their cut sheet. Whereas 3M does not. Will move in that direction. Thanks again
