  • The engine needs to be at TDC and as long as the rotor is pointing at the terminal you use for #1 with the cap on you can't go wrong. That dist. is like having an msd box in the dist itself. I personally don't really like them because the heat generated close to the dist. can get high and those electrical plates in the dist. are sensitive and can warp or even fail if heat gets too high.
In http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?p=1234962#post1234962 I asked this question:

I'm dropping in one of these new MSD E Curve distributors. It is a real nice looking unit buy I have one BIG question.

According to the directions that came with the distributor you "drop in the distributor with the rotor pointing to the #1 terminal on the cap and then tighten down the distributor housing". That is all fine but they do not tell you WHERE to rotate the housing TOO and tighten it down. How does the distributor know when to send the signal to the coil and tell the coil when to fire??
On the drivers side it looks close one top of the side pod kick out.

In this picture right where the tube make that bend. It looks like it runs close to the pan right after the sump. The sump it's too much higher than the linkage. But still a little highter.

I would. His headers really hug the oil pan and I'm afraid that kickout will interfere with them. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...maybe I'm wrong!!
I thought all TTI's go behind the steering linkage. We just did stock exhaust. Troy was right there and he is real familiar with them, but I don't think he's installed as many small block ones as big block. Should I call call Sam and run down to Corona in the next couple days?
