Interesting to note that the 2146 top-plate is the desirable version. Looks like the 2141 top is the one what introduced the emulsion holes in the idle circuitry. Not than I'm an expert but it would seem the solid fuel version is the way to go

The carb will be going on a modified 455 Pontiac so a pre-1978 truck tquad would be perfect so numbers matching guys can find the harder to find model numbers for restos

I'm looking for a pre-emissions carter thermoquad or one from a 440 truck up to 1977. Specifically the 1972-74 carbs. My location is Manitoba Canada just to let you know beforehand. Thanks, Brent
